oh, i meant the first reviewer...he got one of the older ones...
and technically, it's not xp-pro compatible either...
but one of the service packs has the driver in it and may have the newer vista hardware in it too..i'll check..
it was one of the easiest mods i've done to infs..Wink

seems like i have several different versions that look like same version but with different content..
i found one from 2004 that was same as these..
i would get it from the haupp drivercd...
[in drivers dir, irbus.inf and irbus.sys]
works on xp any version..[home,pro,mce]

only difference is 15 devices instead of only 10 in original xp .inf..
found a direct ms download of update for MCE driver...
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en

instructions on modding and a whole .inf to copy...Big Grin
http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/p/51471/251725.aspx
[as long as you have a irbus.sys the .inf is all you need]

xp SP3 has newest irbus.inf and irbus.sys...[in I386\IP\ subdir] easily downloadable...
much more devices in it...looks like vista one..
apparently a 'snowflake' is a receive only dongle, 'beanbag' is the normal one with blasters..[BB/SF]
DriverVer=07/01/2001,5.1.2600.3180

note: this one also has CIR [Consumer InfraRed] devices covered too..Big Grin [built into motherboard]

Is there any way to pad to 4 channel numbers? The pad in the config will only pad out to 3 digits. I posted in the general support and got nothing.

why pad out that much? padding only sends leading 0's when numbers are low..
i haven't seen a cable box that needs to have that much padding..
it'll take/blast as many digits as you give it, normally no padding necessary..
sending 0's seems a bit of a waste..
and on my stb sending leading 0's messes up the channel number even with the real remote..[no idea why]
do you have 4 digit channel numbers?
if there's never a 4th digit you can just add a 0 to config params, " 0{channel}"

but if you think it'll 'wake' up the blaster for more reliability, not so..
very little data is passed when blasting, and ir doesn't need to warm up at all..

My box uses 4 digits. So when I only send 1, 2 or 3 digits it hangs waiting to see if there are any remaining digits. If I can pad with 0's up to 4 digits then it makes a much quicker change. Some of the channels are 4 digits though so I can't just add a zero at the beginning of everything.

How about having an enter being sent after the channel numbers? Can that be done pBS?

yep...done...Smile
just make a new ir blast cmd, learn your enter from stb, label it Enter from drop down box..
it should end up as 36.001
let me know if it doesn't end up that way for you..
[i just send the 36.001]

oh and add an extra '1' at the end to signify using enter at end of numbers...Smile

Wow that's some quick response. Thanks I'll give it a try this evening and see if it helps.

well i had made one earlier, just hadn't put in release yet..
so took all of about 5 mins...Smile
seems to have made mine a tad bit faster too...

i also have a little mod to make the params not have to be in order...
so you could specify only what you needed on cmd line and the rest would get defaults..
coming soon.

I tried it and must be doing something wrong. I learned the ENTER from the STB remote and it is 36.001 and 36.002 respectively.

However when I tried it via the command line and added the 1 at the end it seems to send a signal to both boxes and doesn't give the ENTER. It seems to send the correct number to the selected box, and then another signal to the 2nd box. The 2nd box doesn't seem to respond to the signal, so it isn't a copy of what is sent to the 1st box. Almost like maybe it sends the enter to the 2nd box and the numbers to the 1st?

C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR>net2hipsend.exe 5 1 127.0.0.1 8084 002 1

C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR>net2hipsend.exe 5 1 127.0.0.1 8084 001 1

that's what I tried, and both times it sent the command to both IR blasters and didn't send an ENTER.
