ok who speaks german? i need someone to translate this for me

and if no one speaks it, im guessing im wasting my time (adding ofdb as a lookup source, done everything except the number of votes and rating, i assume Note: = rating or something along those lines).
oh and can someone tell me if ofdb displays taglines? i couldnt find this, so im pretty sure it doesnt, but then again i dont speak german, so i could have missed it.

It's pretty early in Germany right now so I take my chance ;-)

Note 7.71 = rating 7.71
Stimmen 558 = number of votes 558
Platz 568 = position 568
Ihre Note = Your vote/grade

Hope that helps. It's always a bit difficult to translate something withou context.

BTW: You are doing a great job with your plugins!

cheers man, yeah i was looking for Stimmen. there appears to be a problem thou, when i read the html all the funny characters are ignored eg "Böse" is read in as "Bse", and this is happening at the very first step, so you might have to put up with missing a few characters (it could be a machine specified things, since my machine is using english, and a german machine might read it in without any problems, well thats my hope anyways).

now how would you translate "out of 10" ??

"out of 10" translates to "von 10".

Well, the special characters, like e.g. German umlauts, can cause all sorts of funny problems. I once came across an invoice that was entered on a Czech Windows machine, processed on a SAP system in the US an then converted to special XML for a bank on a German B2B server. Very nasty!

But back ontrack. Provided that a correct charcter encoding like UTF-8 or ISO 8859-1 (aka Latin-1) is used, it shouldn't matter what language the OS is using. Although living in Germany I have English versions of XP and Office and everything works nicely for umlauts.

Can you can give some background information on your problem?

Now something different. I just upgraded the My Videos plugin to 2.1.3.0 on GB-PVR 0908. Before I was using 2.1.07

Since the update I do not see the "My Videos" entry on the main menu when using the media experience plugin. It shows up with the Blue skin though. But I definitely prefer your skin, reven!

Has anyone else experienced this?

upgrade to the latest version of media experience, you're probably just using an old one missing a few things.

wait about 10mins then upgrade, ill post a new version of media experience too.

i just threw the "out of 10" and "votes cast" in the translate file, so if you want to translate it just use that.  im going to release the next version within the hour, so if you can help test the ofdb stuff that would be great (i have no german movies ).

v2.1.6.0 added ofdb.de as info source (a few more things, but they're hidden )

uploaded new versino of media experience so shows ofdb under "Information" and on the "Scan" menu.

if anyone else wants me to add a source for information (possible a french source) just let me know the url and ill see what i can do (i doubt i will be able to do any asian ones, wouldnt have any hope of translating those ).
