Music Box 4 - Version 9.1

I have uploaded a new beta of MB4 to address some of the good feedback raised so far.

1. I adjusted the MB4 screen display to delays writing when you use the up/down hours. I think this is an improvement but you can change this Display in the Options menu and if there is interest it can be a configuration item. On the PC with the keyboard it might even scroll too fast to see, especially if you have Fast keyboard repeat setting in Windows.

2. You can change from Compilation to All Album view on the main menu and toggle with Alt-G/Green

3. Instead of manually changing the option to Filter the Artist view each time you enter MB4 you can save the option to to not include compilation items in MusicBox.xml using:

<FilterArtist>True</FilterArtist>

This will be added to the config screen at some point

4. Updated UltraID3Lib to current version. Could improve scanning depending on the tags you use.

5. Fixed a couple of outstanding issues from ML3 scan. Scanning would not identify non-mp3 files that were not tagged. Also files were not being added to the database if UltraID3Lib didn't like them. Most of these files are playable, but you might want to check the Interfaces.log after a scan to see which files were identified to avoid pops and noises on bad audio files.

Loaded this up....no longer see the Filter Artist - All Albums and nothing appears to be filtering like it was previously.....I am back to thousands of artists again....

After turning filtering off and then back on again it is now working......

The option is now just Filter Artists and a I mentioned you can store this as a default manually in MusicBox.xml if you'd like. Both Album views are on the main menu.

When I go into MB4 on PCH the red (random) key does not appear to work.....but if I use the menu option to build a random playlist then stop that generated playlist and then hit the red button it works from that point forward

Ok, I tried with Filter Artist set us a default and also by changing from the Options from All Artist and Red started Random played fine. Is it possible the Menu bar was on screen? Hot keys don't work while it is active.

UJB, because your problem had some characteristics of a problem that Jaggy reported earlier, I did some more testing and I found an issue after the Menu becomes invisible. I have corrected that in the version now on the wiki.

Just to say that my album art problem is sorted - I must have misread the original wiki page too, as I had put taglig-sharp and ultraid3lib in my public\npvr\plugins directory. Haven't played with it too much, but it seems to be working well so far.
