Will XDVD support the PVR350 at some point?

I believe it supports the 350 already.

yea, subtitles are doable with vlc...i think i posted something about that somewhere, but to do it you'll have to adjust the batch file yourself..just add the 'soverlay' part and the --sub-track like :
Quote:--sub-track 1 --sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=4000,acodec=mp2a,ab=128,channels=2,soverlay}
and it will overlay the video onto the video....Note: you MUST recompress video as well or it won't overlay the subs...[use the second line in the bat files]
it takes longer to compress both audio and video so adjust your play delay times accordingly..

Thnks, I´ll try this..

Then I guess it wouldn´t be to hard to do a "Select subtitle" button in Xdvd (similar to "Title"..)

That is on my todo list. I have been busy the last few weeks. But it will be there eventually.

Hi Jorm,

I tested '--sub-track' and 'soverlay' and it worked. Also found that I could use '--sub-language <string>' instead of '--sub-track' thus eliminating me to know what track a specific language used.

The only issue I had was that the DVD-movie didn´t start to play directly by only pushing "Play" button, the "prebuffering" always stopped around 90 (of 150) althoug VLC continued to transcode. Hitting the "Play prev" allowed me to start watching...

Great plugin - tnks!

I will take a look at that problem with it stoping and the sub-language.

As for the stopping, you an change the limit down or switch to time mode.

I was thinking for subtitles since most people would never change this setting would be to provide a new menu option called subtitles

with two values on or off

You specify the string in the settings.xml.

Is there any possibility for this to be changed on the fly? (I really doubt it.)

Also is this a possible way to play Closed Captions via MVP? Have a program extract the CCs, and VLC overlay them?
