Also, I noticed that the NextEnd.exe monitor is still being run by the PostUpdateEPG.bat file. And that hasn't seemed to cause a problem. I wonder if sub calls it differently or if it is the last thing in that thread and those threads aren't actually completing until the end of the day when nextend monitor shutsdown???

Yes I meant NextPVRServer sorry for the confusion. I definitely don't have the issue running with the command line.

For the task go to task scheduler create task called NextEnd select hidden and run when not logged in our not, For the Action "Start a Program" fill out the appropriate fields. No trigger is necessary but in Setting click allow task to be run on demand

To stop it and start it via the batch files it is

schtasks /tn nextend /end
schtasks /tn nextend /run

Killing the task will do the same as the /end

You shouldn't have to run the stdout redirect since it is a separate process.

OK. I think I've set it up ok. I'll check it in the morning to see if the PostEPGUpdate.bat kicked it off. And then try restarting the server (when there aren't recordings going on).

You can test those commands from the command line anytime, and even start it up now.

Martin, I was wondering if the Nextend server is reporting the 2019 World Series game 7 tonight. Schedules direct EPG is reporting regular programming and the game is missing. I reported a lineup problem to SD.
Thanks,
Rex

It won't matter about the server if the guide data doesn't show it but yes it is there.

Ok. So if I set up a manual  recording in v5 and call it 2019 World Series, will Nextend extend it?

I refreshed the EPG in v5 again and now the game is showing up in the schedule, so don't need the manual recording.

Ok good. Yes you could do it with a manual entry but you need to set more fields then NextPVR allows right now.

Code:
sed -e 's/\"\/\"/\"\/opt\/nextpvr\/system\/\"/g' NextEnd.deps.json

Martin,

The above line seems incomplete to me. When I run the above command in Arch Linux it prints to the screen but I don't believe it makes any permanent changes to a file. If I append
>> NextEnd.deps.json.new
to the command line the changes are incorporated into NextEnd.deps.json.new.  I can then copy to NextEnd.deps.json if appropriate.

Also, since my installation is non Debian and I don't have files in opt/nextpvr/system so I changed the directories to what I hope are the correct locations.  opt => home, nextpvr => my user name, and system =>  NPVR.

Thanks for your assistance,
Craig
