kevink: the logs and screenshots all point to only build 21 being installed, possibly re-install build 24?

More and more I'm begining to think that this plugin needs a FAQ Smile

Same result. I've attached the logs. Thanks for taking a look,

normanr -

might wanna add a link to the btwincap driver (btwincap.sourceforge.net) in the first post, next to the entry saying the ATI TV Wonder works. woulda simplified some things for me, but alas, I am working now. Thanks for the great plugin! I'm ecstatic to be freed of ATI's crappy TV software.

Also, any idea of whether your plugin will work on Windows XP 64?

SickBoy: done, the card should work with the standard drivers, but the double crossbar requires edit the config file directly - there's no frontend yet. I guess the plugin should work on 64 bit, but I doubt the btwincap drivers do - you'll need to check if your ati drivers, or btwincap do a build. GB-PVR should work with the 32bit compatability layer, I doubt it'll run as a native 64bit app.

kevink: I can't find any errors in those logs (the previous ones, or the new ones). Can you zip the log immediatly after you try to use the plugin. Are you using GB-PVR locally or via an MVP? Also the weather plugin seems to be throwing exceptions which might be conflicting.

normanr,
I've attached a new log zip. I have two MVP's in the system but I have not tried them with LiveTV using the nvidia card. I have only tried LiveTV with the nVidia card on the host PC running GBPVR. I de-selected the weather plugin and removed the PVR500 from the config so there will no conflict.

I'm not sure if anyone has got an MSI TV@Anywhere Plus working with this plugin before, so I thought I would post. Never had any problem with live TV, and after build 24 came out I have recording and timeshifting working as well, except for a slight audio sync delay which I'm pretty sure is because I don't have enough RAM and has nothing to do with the software. I'm in the unique position of also having an ATI AIW 7500 combo card and being able to use the native encoders, but I think this would work with the modified Avivo drivers as well. Can someone let me know what I need to post to share my configuration with others, or anything else that will help?

Thanks normanr and everyone for all your work on this great project. Smile

kevink: sorry to be a bore, but I still can't find any debug info Sad The weather plugin still seems to be loading (maybe (re)move it for now), also can you try some tests with the MVP capabilites 100% disabled. The only thing that seems to be logging is the MVP stuff. FYI: GB-PVR is supposed to pick the top card for recording, and the bottom for LiveTV.

ivanvector: thanks for the info. I've added your two cards to post #1 and the wiki page, if there's any more info you can think of just let me know. GB-PVR really needs to have a graph gallery where people can upload their graphs, etc. Maybe that's a new forum thread we should start? (graphs and only graphs, can we force other posts to be deleted?)

I'm not sure that the All-In-Wonder card works; I haven't tested it since the card itself doesn't quite work. The MSI is a Philips Cap713x chipset, and I have to use the Double Record setting in the latest build to get the audio to turn on in recording. I am using "Philips Cap713x Video Capture" for the video and audio capture device, and the ATI MPEG video/audio encoders and ATI multiplexer. I had to do a fresh install of GBPVR and the latest build of the plugin to get it all to work.

I did some more work and finally got it to work. The trick is to use video pin "VP" for both capture and preview when configuring the video capture settings for the card in GBPVR.

My configuration is:

nVidia Personal Cinema 5564 (TVtuner and Video Card in one unit) based on the Philips SAA7108E chipset and using the GeForce2 video chip

nVidia WDM 2.26 VIVO-TV driver from the nVidia website

Intervideo mpg, audio and demux codec being used.

Thanks for looking at the issue Normanr!

I spoke a little too early. I can watch LiveTV but can't record. In the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log I can see the failure being logged as an exception thrown for an incorrect parameter along with the line number. I've attached the logs.
