Just to show off my better looking setup in the upstairs living room after showing my crude but effective setup above:

I actually made this cabinet myself, since you can't find a large corner entertainment center. The shape of the corner cabinet is actually the right proportions for this TV. All that we have upstairs is the TV an MVP and a $40.00 DVD/VCR player.

Wow, these are some of the most impressive setups I have ever seen. Not just for HTPC's but for anything! I enjoy they suave, stadium seating projection rooms as much as I enjoy the junked out bedrooms with wires coming out everyone's arses (partly because I can relate)! My system will be done in about a week or two and will feature a fairly kick-arse computer that won't be tapped quite to perfection. I already have a plan to upgrade the # of TV cards as well as harddrive space and RAM - this before the computer is even together in the first place! Well, it's also all going to be in a $20 case from newegg. Boy, I really know how to prioritize.

here is that updated pic, finally got around to taking it last night, in my 5 free minutes. yeah its sassari, but I was messing with the icon colors and background. I now have it with the standard sassari background but changed to red, and black buttons, it looks sweet.

its a huge widescreen image, I had to cut it down drastically to get the results I wanted with it. I have a whole collection of nice widescreen backgrounds. but here is the deviantart link to that background

EDIT: yeah the guy has a rant up about someone stealing his work on the main page, so I think you might want to shoot him a message before you start redistributing his work (its the right thing to do)

shiningdragon, you need some wire managment. and white speaker wire for those two front ones. or you could get serious about it and do it in wall.

Yep, you're right. But i don't plan to use white cables or put them into the wall.
I'll use the same thing which is under the LCD, but this time horizontal from the left to the right speaker.
I am thinking about put an Image/Painting over these channels to hide them. We'll seen, for which i'll decide me. =)

that works, as you can tell I am a bit of a neatfreak, those dvds are all alphabetical btw, and I have a program called mediaman to manage my collection of... well everything. except anime, I use AOM (Anidb O Matic). google them to find out more, but theyre both friggn cool.

not really sure what youre saying about my style. I am neat... and um.. I like red and black. the cherry entertainment center my parents gave me. I guess youre talking about the red. also I didnt have all my lights on, so it could be 3x brighter in the pic as well
