Here's build 9. It allows you to choose your pins directly. (web_maven: this should make it work for you).

If you're upgrading from a previous version as a minimum you must open the configure dialog for the plugin and hit OK to save the new options in the configuration.

(also included new in this version is my RecorderTest framework with can be used to test recording plugins externally - it does not work with the built in plugins even though they are listed)

this is the wrong attachment - please ignore it :-)

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]The main difference between LiveTV in preview mode and recording (or LiveTV in non-preview mode) is that it uses the MPEG-2 compressors installed on your system (or not installed - and hence it's probably breaking)

Get hold of the free evaluation moonlight encoder package and install it, you should then get recording working.

(btw: you missed the attachment)

I install it, try to activate and it tells me 'sorry, you've already evaluated this  product'

I must have an MPEG encoder on my system, as I can record into MPEG from the software I have with my card, I also have the Main Concept MPEG encoder on here, plus I have a Skystar 2 DVB card which records the streams just fine

I've put the attachment I missed off before with this message

inabsentia: try the latest build and see how that helps. I doubt it will work but it has a ton more debugging information.

web_maven: try using capture as both pins for the video card (VP isn't preview, it stands for Video Port), and try use Line-In or such like for the audio pin on the audio card (it must be an input line).

Has anyone had the problem when you click on LiveTV, it just shows a blue screen?

i have manually added some channels cuz zap2it doesnt seem to be working now, but none of the channels will display. (just a blue screen)

i have the msi tv@nywhere master card.

baccardi84: could the blue screen be the line input? If you use your normal TV app to switch to tuner and then close it down and open gb-pvr is it any better?

(I don't do any specific source selection so maybe this needs to be added?)

Two things I switch to capature but the only way to do this was to uninstall GBPVR and reinstall the copy your files. It does not seem to remember the settings. If I delete a profile and add a new one I end up with two profiles.

After selecting capature for both Preview and Capature and selecting Line-in for Audio I now get a Black screen with no errors.
