Not sure if we were hoping this would fix my timing issue (not audio sync) as well. But unfortunately it doesn't the H264 TS still shows 10 mins, when its 40-odd.
I'm not sure whether I'll be able to set up VNC in a similar manner (I don't see it helping on the audio side though). I've tried to put in place the appropriate holes in my firewall and router to allow VNC on port 5900 if you want to try. Let me know, and what details you may need to get through. I'll be about until about 2300 GMT.
Yep, I'm happy to take a look. PM me the ip address and password and I'll connect and take a look. When I connect, it'd be great if you could be at the machine with keyboard at the ready if I have any questions. I'd probably only need about 10 minutes.

FWIW setting the H264 decoder to Cyberlink PDVD7 from CoreAVC made the test file playback, and FF/REW without trouble. (not the dodgy BSG file though). Something called "GB-PVR Flow Status" appears in the graph shown in the log, which I hadn't seen before.
However as I recall there were other reasons I wasn't using the Cyberlink for anything other than bluray, which weren't just about the hope that I'd be able to stop lining Cyberlinks coffers for an app that is, frankly, rubbish (getting it to run on the 2nd monitor meant be paying for another bit of s/w to make that happen!!).

Great. Thats progress at least.
The 'GB-PVR Flow Status' is inserted whenever your H.264/MPEG2 decoder is set to something other than 'system default'. It just counts the bytes being passed to the video decoder.
