Do we know the polarity and symbol rate too?

According to http://www.a516digital.com/2015/06/frees...llite.html who is usually prity much on the ball.

Services have moved over to Astra 2E, which means viewers in the UK and Ireland will benefit from a stronger, more reliable signal. No action is required by viewers.

Frequency and Polarisation - 11428 H

Symbol Rate - 27500

FEC - 2/3

Channels affected include - Freesat Home Transponder (Freesat EPG)

Moved from - E28A

Europe or UK beam - UK

If they have a proprietary Freesat or Sky box..... I haven't dared check mine out yet - looking at the Kingofsat list of changes, I'll be days tweaking. My little linux box sorted itself out all by itself...

My Freesat EPG updated as usual @ 04:30 this morning and it's still using the 11428 frequency. Is it now transmitting on both satellites or could the above Kingofsat info be wrong??

The problem is that Astra satellites don't have a 11428MHz transponder used for the Freesat Home on Eutelsat 28A. The nearest is 11425MHz H on Astra 28 E. As its a much stronger signal and the signal is so wide band it dosnt seem to matter if the receiver is 3MHz off tune!

Given the Freesat "Home" frequency may need to be changed, would it be possible to make this a config.xml adjustable variable rather than hard coded?

Since last week, my previously reliable EPG is now suffering bouts of missing data across various channels. I suspect the frequency change may be the cause. Any news yet Sub on when you can issue an update that I could test?

Sorry - not yet. I'm actually on holiday in London at the moment, so nowhere near my development machine. I'm intending to take a look at it when I'm back home.
