If you are running LE12 on x64 I do have a link to a zip file that do it properly (it fixes NPVR.zip, the power file you suggested and a few other things.

You would need to do an EPG update too.

Ah ok, that probably explains it - however when it didn't work I did go back to LE12 to make sure it wasn't LE13 causing an issue.

So at the moment I am on LE12, so is it worth me trying the zip first? Or is it more helpful for e to go back to LE13 and reinstall and upload the logs?

On LE 13 did you install 7.0.0~1 or just NPVR.ziip

Either way here is 7.0.0~2 for LE 12 https://filetransfer.io/data-package/WUSfXyTw#link

Sorry the version numbers are off, they like me to start with 1 on LE13 until it is released but this is the seconds release for LE12

On LE13 I just did the update from the kodi addon cofigure screen. This installed version 7.0.0.241105

Thanks for the update - I will update LE12 while I am on it, clear and re-grab the EPG and check.

At some point I will probably go back onto LE13, so will let you know then if there are any further issues.

I will be the same server so no issue

You will need to check two things. First the EPG update in NextPVR needs to be done, then you need to check the web server for "New: " If it is there but not in Kodi you will need to empty the PVR database.

It will save some time if you map all channels to None and choose one for the test that you know has the New:

I've tried a few things and still no New: in the web guide or kodi.

Currently back on LE13 (as it plays video smoother on my setup)

I'm just wondering, is there any way I can see the raw EPG data that nextpvr is processing just to verify if New: is actually in the programme title and not being passed by some flag?
Or is it the case that we know for a fact that Freeview OTA does have New: in the programme title and something is going amiss somewhere?

Thanks for the help

They were in your database before and since you said TVHeadend shows it I think it is probably there. One option might be to run in LE12 with v6 and see if is there.

The real problem of course is sub and I aren't in the UK and cant' see for ourselvers. If you want I can tell you how to capture one minute that we can scan here to test.

Give me a channel/program and I can check, I have NPVR and a Topfield PVR running and both using the Freeview OTA epg

Hi Jimi,
Off the top of my head some recordings we have at the moment that I think showed New: in TVH are:
Channel 5 the yorkshire vet

I had a quick look at Married at First Sight.

Freeview has "Brand new series" in the show description whereas Freesat has "Married at First Sight: Brand new series" in the Title
Freeview has the Series/Episode in brackets after the Title whereas Freesat has it in the Description field.

Neither indicate "New" in the TV Guide. I do see "Prem" flagged against shows where the Episode number is 1.

The Yorkshire Vet doesn't have "New" in Title or description on Freeview nor Freesat.

Thanks Ray,
That's interesting, and that is from raw guide data before npvr processes it for the EPG?

If so, TVH must be appending New: according to different conditions then. In this case subs code may be working fine, but the guide data ay not be as we first thought?

Thanks all
