Hi all,

Well, most of the buttons in the white area don't work. Back does, but there is one functionality I find terribly missing : Change Aspect (F7).

Sub said in the past that eventually the remote will be fully supported and I've specifically requested to map 'DVD Angle' to the Change Aspect function, but hasn't gotten around to it yet...

Cheers,
GGF

Well I just bought the remote... hopefully it'll work well. Worst case scenario I switch to Cyberlink's PowerCinema. Hopefully not though.Wink

Its more of an issue of not being able to tell the button has been pressed. I dont know how to work with most of those buttons in the white square.

Mother of all creatures great & small!!
Don't do it!!

Actually I played around with it for a little while. Version 3 is what they sent me. It kept crashing on me.

In all honesty i'd rather hit f7 on a wireless keyboard a few times then use powercinema.

I'm not sure I need to buy Girder to just get one button to do something for me.

After reading reviews of PowerCinema, I think I'd be crazy to switch. There is no EPG. Doesn't that totally defeat the purpose of this whole recording thing?

What do you mean hit f7 a few times on a wireless keyboard?

Aren't there a bunch of buttons that aren't working in that white square?

If I got girder would I be able to set EVERY button on the remote and the ones in the white square to do what I want in GBPVR?

If they have a trial version I'd try that first.
from what I read on their forums you can intercept the button presses in the white.

Yeah, PowerCinema crashed for me too, a lot.

I think the record button works in LiveTV.
The LiveTV button works in the main menu.
Can't remember other buttons that work.

While we're on the subject - anyone willing to share the last free version of Girder?
Please send me a private message.

Thanks,

GGF

I am not gonna use Girder... it is way too confusing for me... and the majority of buttons on the remote are supported by GBPVR anyway. Is there a way to get a button the remote to launch GBPVR from my systemtray? Until now, I have had to right click with the mouse then left click on Start GBPVR, but it would be a lot easier if I could enter and exit from GBPVR to my Desktop with just the remote.

This would also certainly be a girdir/ hip job.

Do Girder/Hip go hand and hand or should I just study up on how to use HIP?

Girder seems confusing for me...
