Hi

This assumes theres no proxy, in my case there is so ALL users are comming from inside the LAN hence no security, (ive had someone pull ALL the recordings i had stored, so thats about 15gig uploaded, this is how i found out).

Is there a way in an update to turn this on or off? Nice idea but when theres proxy's involved sort of becomes a security hole.
Many Thanks
Ashley

Its ok, i found the NETWORK settings, added all internal IPs that are ok and excluded the proxy, this is now working.
Many Thanks
Ashley

normanr will have to answer this for sure but I belive the logic that checks the valid IP's is expecting it to be in a certain format....when you click the Internal button it sets the defualt for normal internal networks.

I believe a page or 5 back someone had entered the IP's that they wanted and then they began having problems. The format for the IP's need to have the /'s in them like you see when you click on the Inernal Network option.

Hi there,

I've just updated my Web Admin to version 35 (and it's BRILLIANT, just what's needed! Cheers!)

The only problem I have is that for some reason, anything I try to record 'once' and 'this day only' doesn't add itself to the pending list. If I try it selecting 'this time slot' and 'this day only' it works.

Maybe it's something I'm doing... then again maybe not. thought you should know...

Both - I've tried it every which way I can think of, from the Guide, from the Search page (both using the checkboxes, and by clicking on the show name) and it's a no go... 'this timeslot' works but 'once' doesn't..

Cheers!

Hi Forum,
Can some one tell me how the web administrator works on gbpvr? I tried enabling it in the config program and then I tried to hit it using a browser and typing in the ip and port number. Nothing happened except a page cannot be displayed. I was under the impression that the browser was suppose to pop up a page that could access the functionality of gbpvr either on a local network or across a wan. Is my understanding correct or not? Do you need a PWS or real webserver running to make it work? If not what did I do wrong. Yes I did have a firewall running, but I allowed that port access on my GBPVR machine and it still didn't work?
If this question is in the wrong spot, please let me know where I should place it and I will move it there. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello again,

I've repeatedly requested that someone get Web Admin working with Pocket Internet Explorer to no avail.

I'm now willing to pay someone if they can accomplish this.
