I built my HTPC a few weeks ago before I got digital cable. I set everything up for OTA channels and it worked fine. Now I have the digital cable and no matter what I try, GBPVR only "sees" the original OTA lineup. I've tried everything I know how to including removing and re-installing GBPVR but the problem persists.

If I run the Tuning Assistant, it DOES see the cable channels correctly...

can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!

Its not entirely clear to me what you're asking. Is this just a problem importing the EPG, or is do you see static when you try to view cable tv channels, or somthing else?

Gbpvr only lists the 7 ota channels in the gvpvr configuration channels tab and capture sources/edit tabs. When EPG is updated, the same 7 are all that show. In the gbpvr app itself, the same 7 are all that are there.

But again, if I run the tuning assitant, all the cable channels seem to be there.

I'm thinking this problem must be related to the original setup when I DID only have these same 7 channels. But even removing and reinstalling gvpvr did not resolve it.

What EPG source are you using? Which country are you in?

If you're in the US and using zap2it, you may need to have a separate zap2it account for each lineup, rather than multiple lineups under the one account.

I do have a separte account (zap2it) The account appears to be correct. i.e., Comcast Digital; ALL the channels show up.

I'm not aware of any problems in this area, so I can only assume you're doing something wrong.

Have you set up two capture sources, one for the OTA stuff, one for cable? Each specifying a different zap2it account username/password? If so, then you can email your account details to support@devnz.com and I'll try it myself.
