Here is a screenshot with the server response in my browser and the messagebox on the server.

The URL I requested was [server]/gbpvr/index.asp

If I request [server]/gbpvr/ (without index.asp) I get the same response to my browser but the errormessage on the server doesn't show up.

What do you get when you try and load http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/Guide.aspx?

What's that text in your status bar? Are you using an English version of Windows? or some other version?

Question from a Google Search: Do you happen to have "DotNetWindows VAT (Vulnerability Assessment Test)" installed? Have you run a memory test recently?

Apparently it can also be caused by a StackOverflow, but I'm stuffed if I know where.

Same error

normanr Wrote:What's that text in your status bar?

My Firefox says: Waiting for localhost

normanr Wrote:Are you using an English version of Windows? or some other version?

German WinXP Home SP2

I did not install that software.

No, but I don't think there is a problem with my hardware - other software is running fine.

Is there a problem with the forum? I just got an email, that there is a new post in this thread - but when I open the given link, I just seem my own posting...

Sorry probably me, I posted but realised just after I clicked the submit-button that it was a "nogood" post, so I deleted it, next time I'll just add a comment if something like that happens:o
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,

nurowolf: I had a dig around on you PC, I didn't want to restart the recording service, because it was busy recording. I noticed that the web admin used to work, so something must have happened since February some time. Can you try installing .net 1.1 SP1 (it's under Windows Update - you should probably do all the updates while you're at it)

gb-pvruser: what version of the .net framework do you have installed? How up-to-date with Windows Updates are you?

One observation: Under Explorer > Help > About: nurowolf's pc shows 'Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158' and mine shows 'Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519'. What does yours show?

Another thing for both of you to try is to delete the folder: "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr" and see if it has any effect.

nurowolf: are you also using a non-english version of Windows?

Edit: check this post out, it seems sbp fixed his issues by reinstalling the .net framework.

I have Windows Version Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 too.

I just deinstalled .net 1.1 and reinstalled 1.1 and 2.0 after a reboot. Before installing I removed the content of windows\microsoft.net.

Same problem as before.

After that I installed 1.1 SP1 - Now everything seems to work.
