Has anyone got a Nova-T USB, the original version (not Nova-T USB 2) to work with GBPVR? I am fed up with the awful Showshifter software which I paid £50 for a while ago, and am looking with envy at GBPVR but can't get it to work with my external USB tuner.

Any help much appreciated!
Cheers
Philip

There is no option to select the Nova-T USB as a capture device, only the Nova-T USB2. If I choose that option, I am told the hardware has not been detected, but it is connected and works fine with Showshifter (well, as fine as Showshifter ever works). I assume the driver only works with version 2 of the Nova-T USB, but is there any way I can modify it?

The original nova-t usb does not have BDA drivers so will not work with gbpvr.

If I were to buy a new Freeview capture card especially for GB-PVR, which would people recommend?

Assume you're in the UK as you said 'Freeview'. I have the nova-t PCI and have had no problems with it. Good remote too.

Think the blackgold and nebular (spelling?) cards have goten good reviews. Not sure how well they work with GBPVR tho, may be an idea to search on the forums or take a look at the wiki

I started messing around initially with gbpvr and a Freecom TV stick which I had bought to go mobile with my laptop. It is now sitting permanently behind the PVR doing full time duty there. I wouldn't chose this device now though because they seem to have changed the hardware revision and the old way of frigging the drivers doesn't work (apparently).

I also run a couple of Nova-T's, these are cheap now anyway, around the 40 quid mark. I'm thinking of adding another couple Smile

David.

I've not seen any at that sort of price, where should I be looking?

Thanks
