Calendar plugin v0.5 available on the wiki. Best to delete the old dll file and skin directory due to the spelling correction :o.

Changes include:
  • Fixed “when I click on Today, the date jumps to April 1st” issue.
  • Improved iCal parser.
  • Added support for more web sources sources.
  • Added a config screen to setup sources.
  • Added task image support.
  • Added an info panel displaying current Calendar info.
  • Added parser and GUI support for multi-day events.

As always, comments, suggestions welcome.

Wow something useful! The link is dead or dead slow, you need to have some sort of backup plan for you files. Also could you post a sample here of what your program looks like.

Looking good.....

loaded three calender files placed in the plugins\calendars folder, two which came from icalshare and one of my own, the one that tripped the earlier version up. works fine with all three and handles the five-day event too.

The one place it didnt seem to work, was when i selected a 'day' view, then selected that days event, then escaped out of the event back to the day view, i couldnt escape back from the day view to the month view, had to go to select 'today' or load a calender to get back to the month view.

I have been using this in my skin since the initial release. I don't have a really complex calendar just yet, so I can't bullet test everything. (I am using Google Calendar for point of reference.)

"Today" bugfix works fine.

This is great, love the plugin (aside from known time issues in your todo list Wink ).

Wishlist item: Option to set a specific calendar as a default?

Probably problems with the wiki again - not much I can do.

Have added this to the todo list.

I'm a bit of a google fan (hence the gmail plugin) and have been playing with google calendar since you mentioned it here, and I must say I'm quite impressed with it. Discovering you can get a "private link" to an iCal feed was a bonus Smile.

Next "biggy" is to add timezone support. Most of the other things are eye candy / UI improvments.

Look out for an update soon...

Took me a bit of head scatching to find the link though!

(Settings - Calendars - click your calendar for more settings)

Now ive got my Google calendar loaded everything works brilliantly, thanks McBain.

I notice the calendar updates when you load each specific calendar, can they be set to auto-update each time the plugin loads?

Regards
Stu

It appears the time zone issue is a known entity with the google calendar

http://groups.google.com/group/google-ca...3ab9e8aa82

This may avoid some head banging on your part.

I created a new calendar with the public ical address of:

http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/fatm...blic/basic

The event on may-06-2006 should read "noon to five timezone test" from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.

If anyone needs more test data put into this calendar, let me know.

Me too, hence the word "Discovering" Big Grin

Problem with this is that it would delay plugin load considerably if you have lots of Calendars. This way it only loads (and generates internet/ home network traffic) calendars if needed.
