I installed gbpvr and it works well. GREAT
I have 100 CDs already recorded in MCE and they show up and play in Music Library. GREAT
Now I want to record a new CD. Problem - there is no "record CD" option in the main menu. Oh dear says I - maybe I have to download a mymusic plugin. I go to the wiki and follow instructions to download mymusic, plus a database (which I couldn't find in a file search) and something else - I forget now (was it codareader or some such?).
Anyway I extract to (I thought) the gbpvr directory as per the readme text in the zip files and installed as per the wiki etc. Obviously I made a right mess as I ended up with a ridicuous structure like: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mymusic\gbpvr\skin\blue\My Music\skin.xml.
I have searched this site and find several confused beings like me with the wrong directory structures that mean plugins don't show up in the config menus or don't show up in the gbpvr main menu.
1. Is there a guide somewhere that sets out the proper directory structure? If yes any help with a link? If not, surely one of you experts out there could write a quick sticky? It would benefit the millions who will one day be using this excellent program
2. If I search for my music I find what appears to be a plugin already in the default blue skin. And also in the two new skins I downloaded, which run fine: xmedia - le and gxmedia - se. Does this mean that I didn't need to download mymusic in the first place?
3. Any other advice on how to get a "record CD" option in gbpvr would be most appreciated.
I must say that while I am a newcomer to things media centre, I am pretty experienced around PCs. However, the way plugins are organised and installed in gbpvr has floored me:o :o
TIA
