WDM Recorder using Software Compression

I have an old Terratec tv-card which I only use as an input-port for my satelite tuner thrugh it's composite-in. How can I watch/record with GB-pvr trough composite? I have chosen WDM software as Recording Source and in settings I have chosen TerraTv as capurecard and Video composite as Recording source. But when I push Live tv in det Media Meny I only get "No channels have been set up" and want a EPG-source. I don't have any channels, only the composite signal. Is it posible to get this to work?

Yes, you must still set up a single channel so that GB-PVR knows to use the capture source.

Okay, I found how to make a channel under "Editing Recording source". But when I choose Live TV there is no signal. And I find no way to configure the channel I make. Only What to call it and whet "source channel" to use.

Ack...this just isn't getting any easier, sadly. I set tuning to none, as you suggested, and I still can't watch live TV or record. Different error messages, which are included in the newest set of logs. Thanks again, if you have a moment to peek at these. Sorry to be so much bother...

The logs don't contain LiveTV attempts, but I did find the recording attempt in the recording log file.

You're getting error 0x80040217, Google thinks that this maybe is an issue with your drivers. What Renderer are you trying to use (Overlay/VMR7/VMR9/VMR9Custom) and have you installed the latest DirectX? Have you installed an mpeg-2 compressor?

No timeshift, tv image is clipped at bottom. My card is WinFast TV2000 XP expert, all is working fine, but i can't get timeshift to work and the image at the bottom is outside screen... may anybody help me??

Can you change the log level to debug,and reproduce the logs. This includes opening the software recorder configuration window so that it can log what you have installed, etc. Also try a LiveTV, and a Recording.

Did you install an MPEG-2 encoder? I'm not sure about the clipping, someone else mentioned it to me, but we couldn't find an option to fix it.
