cginzel,
Let's try two things at once to save some time, if this doesn’t work I'm out of ideas. It's probably some memory resident program on your system because I've been doing 14 day downloads (called by gbpvr) with out any problems.

Add these lines to your UpdateEPG.bat
Code:
If not exist "13.xml" %XMLTVDIR%\xmltv.exe tv_grab_na_dd --offset 13 --days 1 --output 13.xml
%XMLTVDIR%\xmltv.exe tv_cat 1.xml 2.xml 3.xml 4.xml 5.xml 6.xml 7.xml 8.xml 9.xml 10.xml 11.xml 12.xml 13.xml >%OutputFileName%
goto common

:common
REM *** The next two lines replace "UTC" TVGuide.xml entries with "+0000" ***
[COLOR="Red"][B]C:
CD "C:\I-xmltv\"[/B][/COLOR]
I-xmltv %OutputFileName%
MOVE I-XMLTV.XML %OutputFileName%
REM *** End GBPVR "UTC" Fix ***

CD "C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\"
gbpvr -OnlyEmptyEPG
IF %FirstRun% == 1 GBPVR -OnlyUpdateEPG

:end

And.
Change "SET DaysEPG=" back to 6, just for tomorrow morning's automatic update. If everything works ok, change it back to 13 tomorrow.

Jim <fingers crossed>

Charles,
If you're still having problems, try this "experimental" update.
I’ve eliminated the need for tv_cat by having I-xmltv join the xml files.
Much quicker file joining, and hardly any memory requirement.
Just replace your existing I-xmltv.exe and UpdateEPG.bat files with the new ones. It’s not a bad idea to make a backup of your gbpvr.mdb first.

I did a little checking over the last few days about service and process memory limits. Have you been using gbpvr_compact (the link in post #3) to compact your gbpvr.mdb on a regular basis?

Hey Jim,

Yeah, I'm still having the problem. I'm sort of think it isn't a memory problem... but this version does seem much faster so we will see. I have GBPVR set to compact but it doesn't because I'm running the slimm GBPVR tray program which seems to keep an open connection to the DB which doesn't allow it to compact. I'll just uninstall Slimm GBPVR for now.

I was altering the UpdateRPG.bat file in the I-xmltv directory not the in the the GBPVR home directory! I set GBPVR to update at noon and the log looks good!

Sweet
Glad it’s working, did you have to uninstall the slimm GBPVR tray? Hope not.

I see you have a MediaMPV.
I’m starting to add other (optional) things like star-ratings and the production date to movie titles.
If you'd like to try it, I'll post a standalone that adds 0's to the beginning of movie titles indicating the Star-Rating value. Then you can search for "0" with the MPV, and all the movies will be listed by their star-rating. I'll switch to “*” after sub adds it to the pre-defined search characters, but this works fine for now.

Eventually I want to add the episode number to the beginning of a shows description. That way RecTracker will avoid duplicates even on shows that don’t have a description, because the episode number's available for most of them.

If you can think of anything else that would be worth doing with the xmltv files (before flying season starts and I lose interest), let me know.

yeah... I uninstalled Slimm for now... I do use a MediaMVP so I don't really *need* Slimm and most of it's features, but my favorite was the bubble status on mouse over... if sub's GBPVR tray would do that rather than requiring opening of the status window... I would be good! Rolleyes

I've been thinking about tackling RecTracker myself and creating a more complete simple plug-in. I believe RecTracker is more a part of CDK Scheduler. I'd like to be able to easily manage the shows marked as reruns by reviewing currently pending shows and mark those already seen as a rerun and unselecting shows that were corrupted or accidentally deleted before being viewed.

Anyway... I haven't found the motivation to get into that yet and my work schedule is very busy currently...

BTW... flying season? I wasn't aware there was a "season" :confused: you've peeked my interest.. why kind of flying is this?

I was going to send you a pm a while back and noticed that you are a programmer by trade. Thanks for humoring me with this project, I’m just a hobbyist from years ago.
Yes a simple RecTracker interface would be great, & I hope you give it a try in the future. I prefer to keep my system as clean as possible and even have the default GBPVR Tray disabled.

R/C flying! I have a couple of planes with live video downlinks and also do a bit of 3-D aerobatic flying.
<links removed> Fun stuff.Smile

I made some progress with adding *’s, 0’s, and the production year to movie titles.
Here’s the zip if you want to play with it.
As always, infile must be DOS 8.3 format, and output is I-xmltv.xml
I-xmltv.exe [Infile] /* /0 /d
/* /d will add star-ratings and the date to the movie title.
/0 /d will add star-ratings using zero’s and the date. (for MPV movie searches)
Any combination of switches is ok, and you can just add the date to the end of the title if you prefer.

Code:
*+ Encino Man (1992)</title>
*** Gilda (1946)</title>
***+ Pal Joey (1957)</title>
*** Tomorrow Is Forever (1946)</title>
or
000 Heart Like a Wheel</title>
00 Rat Race</title>
00 The Sweetest Thing</title>
0+ Sorority Boys</title>

Jim,

That RC video stuff is real cool! Saw some of the the other videos too... very cool! Seems to me that the Air Force could learn a thing or two from you! You've got a mini version of a predator there it seems... you just need to give the RC it's own brain! Big Grin

On the other features you are adding... not sure they work for me. I'm not much into moves. Mostly I'm recording TV shows... as to adding the episode number, seems like there should be another way to handle that rather than cluttering up the description.

Maybe be I need to become a member of the community and work on a show tracker! Smile When I first started using GBPVR, I tried running it against MSDE based on a posting by KingArgyle and I put in some database triggers to handle tracking and removing duplicate shows, but the MSDE conversion from Access was never perfect so I eventually gave up on it.

I'll see what next weekend brings! Rolleyes

Yep some days it’s hard to choose between flying, and electronics. Wink

I’ve added a couple more switch options that allow choosing the Star-Rating position. The file’s attached and the switches are explained in the new UpdateEPG.bat & Notes.txt

This is what I was thinking about for the subtitle and description.
The date and episode # would be an option for most shows because they already have a description. But shows like “Pinks!” rarely give anything but a title, so RecTracker can’t avoid the dupe’s.

I was thinking if a unique ID and original airdate were found when no subtitle or description exists, I would add something for RecTracker.

Code:
<programme start="20060511013000 +0000" stop="20060511020000 +0000" channel="I16011.labs.zap2it.com">

    <episode-num system="dd_progid">EP754870.0026</episode-num>
    <episode-num system="onscreen">11011</episode-num>
  </programme>

Add this information:
    <sub-title lang="en">20060510</sub-title>
    <desc lang="en">EP754870.0026</desc>
