The task image should be a PNG, located in the Sudoku skin directory.
Name of the image is task.png.
Here is an image you can use with the plugin I guess.
I found the image in Tipstirs skin.

You can test the plugin with the BaseSkin, it has the Sudoku skin dir and a the BaseSkin comes with the SharperEdge thmes that shows icons in the buttons.

Sub also published some "sample code" for returning task image to GBPVR...here.

Mixman - thanks. I'll use that image if Tipstir doesn't mind.

blader_se - cheers, I should have another version to upload later today. I'll look at adding it to the wiki when it's finished.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but the "Start/Cont" and "Level" buttons in the plugin redraw themselves on top of the previous image about every second.

The problem is if a skinner Wink uses images for these buttons that are semi-transparent, the images "Fill in" due to dozens of semi-transparent images on top of each other.

A demonstration of this is using the default Baseskin theme (SharperImage)
The unselected button is slightly transparent and will get darker just sitting there.

Solid image buttons and .xml buttons don't reveal this and I don't know if it means increased memory usage every second as well?

Thanks. For various reasons I tend to use the default Blue skin most of the time so I've never seen this effect.

Coincidentally, I was just looking at the rendering side of the plugin a few moments ago and realised I was redrawing a lot of stuff unnecessarily. I'm creating separate drawing methods for each set of components (background, controls, grid etc.) so hopefully this will improve things.

Cheers,
Brian

Well, I haven't yet uploaded the version which returns a reference to a task image so I haven't used it yet. I could've attempted to produce one of my own but, being artistically challenged, graphical stuff I make tends to turn out a bit flat and boring.

Cheers,
Brian

Your button images are non-tranparent if I remember correctly. Make a white non-selected button that is 10% transparent and try it. Eventually you would not be able to read the text.

Make the selected button blue with 10% transparency and eventually both buttons would look the same over time.

Sorry Tipstir for not asking to use the task image.
I should have done that.

Here is a sudoku image that can be used freely in any skin.
