Hi,

On my cable service I can listen to the radio and I have setup some of these up in the epg on GBPVR. Namely the limited number of BBC Radio Stations currently avaliable on Bleeb. Basicly is there anyway of doing an audio only recording for radio stations through GB-PVR?

Thanks

O

If I understand you correctly, these are in fact tv stations that only send sound and a black (or other color) image? If that is so, you'd probably have to record it as an mpeg, and then with some third party app extract the sound afterwards.

That's exactly right Stefan. I've done this by using thrid party utilities to extract the audio but it isn't the quickest process in the world.

It would be great if there was some way of doing this on the fly through GBPVR. Maybe this is something for the wishlist.

You can use mplayer, which (I think) is installed with GB-PVR, to demux the audio to a file. The following code, which can be executed automatically after each recording by placing it in "PostProcessing.bat" in the gbpvr directory, will produce an audio-only file in the same directory as the audio/video file:
Code:
"%PROGRAMFILES%\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\mplayer\mplayer.exe" -dumpaudio -dumpfile "%~dpn1(audio_only).mpg" %1

If you like, you can modify it to delete the audio/video file afterwards.

I don't know if there is a way to set it to only do this after recording from one of your audio-only channels, so you may not want it to run automatically.
