New Plugin: DboxRecorder Plugin

I am able to get to http://192.168.1.114/ but not http://192.168.1.114/control/zapto?getpids

I am using Y-Web at present. What web software should I be using? (and have you a link?)

Hi,

it has nothing to do with the web interface (y-web or anything else) of neutrino. What you could do is try and test another image on your dbox, check your network (firewall), try other channels.
It is essential to send this command to the dbox and get the reply from it, in order to start a recording.

Ist there any way I can record the AC3 Stream instead of the regular MP2 Stream? Lots of Channels in Germany already broadcast with AC3 2.0 (and sometimes AC3 5.1) Audio and i'd like to record that, too.

How can I tell the Plugin, to record the AC3 PID and not the normal Audio PID?

The plugin will currently only uses the default audio stream. But you can try to set "Dolby Digital Default" to "ein"/"on" in the Audio-settings-menu of neutrino.

I've never tried it, but if this won't work, I can add a setting in an upcoming version of the plugin to automatically record the ac3-audio stream, if one is present.

Dolby Digital is default, because my box is connected to a DD 5.1 Decoder. Still doesn't work ...

So, implementing a setting to record the AC3 Stream instead of the MP2 Audio-Stream (of course only if available) would be really great.

Another suggestion:
Due it's possible to record Pay-TV stations, it would be nice to also have an option to record a second Audio-Stream (if available) - for example when a Channel is airing a movie or tv episode in German and English - so both streams are being recorded.

And a short question:
I figure you're from Germany, too ... so do you know the problem with the channels on the ZDF Transponder? Since the transponder kicked out Eurosport and euroNews the bitrate of the remaining channels got up (which is normally good) - but since then often recordings from this channels have little jumps and errors in it, because the network can't handle the amount of data. Don't think this is because of your plugin - but do you know any solution to that problem?

Finally I want to thank for your newest version of the plugin ... since i'm able to configure the timeout manually, everything is perfect (before sometimes it only recorded a few seconds and then it quit).

One more question about the different audio streams:

If a show is scheduled to record at 8 o'clock, with 2 minutes pre padding, the plugin will start recording at 7:58, but what should happen if the additional audio stream you'd like to receive is only available two minutes later?

I could add an option to prefer ac3 to stereo, and another one to capture all available audio streams, but as I said, I can only look just before the recording starts which pids are available to stream.

And a short question:

Sorry, I think I can't help you as I'm receiving digital cable with my dbox - not via satellite.

I'm ready with the new version, compiled with .NET 2.0. Also "WinGrabEngine" is now supported by the plugin.
The config-file format has changed again (sorry), but your channels and settings should be automatically imported.

i'm not entirely sure - but I think, most channels that broadcast two different audio streams do this all the time. I don't have Pay-TV right now, to check how PREMIERE handles this, but SF-zwei (2nd channel of Switzerland) does that...
So, your option should be alright.


And I'm digital cable, too. But even in digital cable, you've got the Boquet of ZDF.vision that is exactly the same as via satellite.

Hi,

the new version doesn't work. If I replace the old DBoxRecorder.dll with the new one, every capture device in my configuration is gone. Even the option to choose the DBoxRecorder.dll as a Recording Device isn't there anymore.

First I thought it's because I didn't have NET 2.0 Framework. But now I do - and it still doesn't work.

Any Suggestions?
