normanr....is ths response:
normanr Wrote:Use "0.0.0.0/1,128.0.0.0/1" if you want the entire internet to be able to autologin, but you'd better have changed the default port or something, otherwise if anyone finds your web-admin port they can mess around with you recordings, and even download them.

An answer to this question.....or is there something that needs to be corrected?
replaytv Wrote:Yeah, it happened to me too and puzzle me for a while until I saw the theme select blank. The lastest build 37 already fixed this.

I am waiting for a fix on the autologin from outside my network on the next build. I hope Normanr can put this on the next build. Thanks.

That's right. While you were figuring this out I've managed to come up with something else: Would it be possible (maybe you considered it already and thought it was a bad idea) to make the epg-table scroll apart from the top off the page (I think that would be called: in a frame). So you would always have the tabs and stuff available. I think it would be quieter on the eyes too. I must be getting old, saying things like that.
You see I do my share to keep you guys busySmile

Normanr,

This has solved my problem with auto-admin. Thanks.

it's a response to the question raised by replaytv. (or how to revert to the 'old' autologin behaviour)

Hi,
I am recieving the following error after upgrading to gbpvr version .97.07 (with access db, not upgraded yet) & version 37 of advanced web admin. I read through some of the past postings, and (if I am understanding correctly) it seems like it is trying to run the .net version 1.1? I am clueless when it comes to any .net/web applicaitions so all I can say is please help!

Ps. web admin worked great on the previous version of GBPVR??

I originally posted this is the Wishlist forum http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16331, but in hindsight this might be an EWA possibility, rather than a GBPVR one, so I have moved it.

Additional TASK-Options in WeAdmin: Run Grabber, Update EPG Remotely etc.

I do 99% of my program scheduling from work and just watch the shows when I get home. However sometimes I need to update the EPG, due to a last minute program change, or perform some other task like record a program manually that is NOT in the EPG (due to an error or whatever).

Recently I realised sometimes I'd like to do some other simple maintenance tasks within GBPVR, remotely, and thought a new tab "TASKS" in the WebAdmin would fit the bill.

So my wishes are:
1. Ability to perform manual recording from the Webadmin i.e. Choose a DAY/DATE and set up a time.

2. A few more task-orientated options in the Webadmin like "Run TVXB/Zap2it" then "Empty EPG" then "Update EPG" and "Restart GBPVR Recording Service" and maybe a host of other command-line options that sub has hidden away, but accessed via a checklist of options.

I recognize that this wish could probably be fulfilled by using some sort of remote desktop e.g. UltraVNC or RealVNC, but I don't really need remote for anything else (at least so far), I have one port open for GBPVR anyway, so why not use it? Or will this request esp. (2) compromise security?

This thread http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.p...remote+desktop gives an indication of what folks are using at present.

Or is this just a bad idea?

I did start working on this today as a matter of fact....Smile

I think remote EPG update is already on the wiki EWA Wish List.....I can't get to the wiki now so I can't verify that. When it is up I'll check....and if it is not then I will add it.

Would it be possible to add the other options too? Is it possible to make it batch (in order) (a) Run your XML Grabber (b) Empty EPG © Update EPG?

Either I'm doing something wrong or my router/firewall is stopping me. Exactly what am I supposed to type into my browser if I'm trying to access from another system? And, what needs to be done router and Zone Alarm wise to allow this?
While this works using the localhost, I can't seem to connect from outside the network.
Thanks

Paul
