I seem to be alone here, but since changing to 97.7 I have had a number of failed recordings - it almost seems as if the machine isn't willing to work nights, as it doesn't appear to be too keen on doing the epg updates or file conversions either - I am preparing to revert for a bit before the WAF drops too low, but I thought I would see if it was just me.
I'm pretty sure I have a highly fubar-ed install, with a lot of programs that have been scheduled recently (before the upgrade) by my wife going through a week of the history channel etc and picked out interesting shows failing to record. These all seemed to transfer correctly when I changed to the new database, and display on the "upcoming recordings" display, but many of them simply don't record. It is almost as if the request has suddenly ceased to exist, as the recording logs don't seem to show any attempt to record them, and they don't even show up as failed recordings in the main program. It's only when using the web-server that you can see that various recordings haven't occurred.
I am using the default blue skin, and have no plugins at all in the plugin directory, (as well as choosing disable plugins in the config) so that shouldn't be a problem.
I have attached the logs, and the failed recordings are:
Kings and Queens: Wednesday, 17 May 2006, 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Kings and Queens: Thursday, 18 May 2006, 5:00 a.m. - 5:30 a.m.
Royal Deaths And Diseases: Thursday, 18 May 2006, 6:20 a.m. - 7:10 a.m.
Six Wives of Henry VIII: Thursday, 18 May 2006, 7:10 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
and yet My Name is Earl and Bones recorded on the same tuner on Wednesday, 17 May 2006 at 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. respectively.
As I said however, the conversion processing which is supposed to occur between 3 and 7am also isn't happening, I seem to have to manually update the epg and often have to restart the config before the web-browser access will work, as well as my default mpeg2 decoders no longer working, so it generally sounds like a pretty munted install - I will try and reinstall everything later today, and if the problems continue I will revert to the previous version.
cheers,
tieke
