Trouble with PureVideo and new release?

Great job with the new software, Sub, been enjoying the improved performance of the new SQLite database.

One problem I've had since the upgrade is my normally great picture quality has suddenly got a bit blurry during action and almost slow-mo looking, like it was before I upgraded to the PureVideo decoder & using hardware acceleration.

I've double checked my settings, and tried about everything - it's set to use the nVidia Decoder, but I do not believe it is ---- is there any way for sure to tell? When I play using WMP the video looks great again, I get the little icon in the tray that shows me settings and datarate - I can't honestly remember if GBPVR fires off the tray app normally or not when it is using purevideo -- currently, it is not.

I've also been getting a few misc unrelated errors now and then that don't seem to be service affecting - I won't bother anyone with those though until I get a chance to check over the forum and see if the topic has already been discussed.....

Hmm ---

Would changing the deinterlace setting under the "Misc" tab affect this?

I went from None (which made channel changing more smooth) to Encoder-passthru, which seems to have activated the PureVideo decoder as my video looks MUCH better now.

Also - another observation, when the system appears to be using PureVideo, it seems that the resolution goes to 640x480 both in the log file and on screen (sides chopped off).

Wow -- amazing how little progress I made until I posted this, then fixed everything in short order...

Resolution problem was resolved by changing the "Display Type" in the nVidia decoder properties dialog to "Anamorphic/Raw Aspect"

BTW - the PureVideo tray app does fire off when it's being used by GBPVR.
