If I am watching tv in timeshift mode, and the time comes up for a scheduled recording, how does gbpvr handle that? Is it possible for the user to modify how it handles that? I'm guessing it will:

1. cancel scheduled recording since the tv tuner is being used
2. Swicth to recording and cut off live tv mode
3. pop up a box and ask the user what to do, possibly with a default option that it will go with if there is no user response after so many seconds.

:I'd like to add option to the wishlist sub, if it is allready not the default way gbpvr handles this.

It'll just drop out of live tv back to the menu.

I do intend to change this some time in the future.

Thanks sub. up until now I've only been using gbpvr for recording and playback, but I'm really starting to like the timeshift mode....so that's why this came up. Also, in my first post I meant to say "i'd like to add OPTION 3 to the wishlist", forgot to state which one in my original post.

What's supposed to happen when you're recording a show and then you start to watch live tv? I have a WinTV 500, so I have 2 tuners. I scheduled a recording on channel 35. I started live tv, and the last channel was 24, so it switched back to 24. When I watched the recording, it started out with the show on channel 35, but then switched to what I was watching on 24. I wasn't recording anything else, so I would have thought the 2nd tuner would be used for live tv.

Also, let's say I'm recording a show, then decide I want to watch it. Do I go to Recordings and watch it from there, or do I use live tv?

I found that when I go to watch a program which is still recording that it plays from the beginning of the program. If you only want to watch from the current point - then use "catch up" (ctrl-O I think, or whatever its mapped to on the remote) and it goes to the "live" part of the program.

I only have one tuner - so unsure if the program picks an unused tuner for live TV - but from what you have said - it doesnt.

If there is not option to make this work correctly, you could go to the TV guide and select the second program you want to watch and then record it - allowing you to view that program while still recording the other.

Not much good if you just want to surf on your free tuner - but an option.

Thanks
