I have been reading previous ffmpeg and zprocess2 posts and can't quite get this right. Generally, here is the logic I am trying to accomplish:
GBPVR records DBA show using HVR 1600 QAM (Comcast USA).
if ("Globe Trekker" in title, 480i) or (channel = 77) then
ffmpeg original.mpg -> target.mpg
replace original.mpg with target.mpg (to playback on MVP)
else if Show_HD (720p, 1080i) then
ffmpeg original_HD.mpg -> target_SD.mpg
replace original_HD.mpg with target_HD.mpg (to playback on MVP)
else
do nothing (NTSC Analog)
endif
I tried recent MVPMC dongles, but still have auto sync problems. I want to stay with mpegs and standard GBPVR dongles and I have already successfully converted individual files using command line ffmpeg and the audio sync has been spot on (my goal).
I rarely watch real time shows so overnight post conversion is okay. Is anybody doing this using Postprocessing.bat? Where should I be focusing my attention?
