Enhanced Web Admin

1) You need to allow the port in your firewalls. I dont know zonealarm, but you should be able to create an exception that allows the webadmin port. The port number can be found in the gbpvr config program. This also needs to be done in the windows firewall. This is in the control panel, under windows firewall, on the exceptions tab. Click on add a port, and type in the number with tcp checked.

2) If you have a router, you need to forward the web admin port to the computer that is running gbpvr. I wont go through the whole thing because everyone's router is different, but you need to set up the gbpvr computer with a reserved local ip address, and forward the port to that ip.

When this is complete, you should be able to replace "localhost" with your external ip, and get into the web admin. This can be tested from the local computer.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try. I think Windows firewall (which is turned off) was already set to 7467 but I'll set ZA and my Linksys router to allow that port to open.

I would look for this to initiate whatever EPG update process exists in GBPVR......I am thinking there should be a way to initiate the Update EPG process just like you can do via the tray icon for GBPVR.

I was wondering if there has been a definitive resolution to the issue of "duplicate season recordings" as it applies to webadmin. In response to that thread sub suggested I ask the EWA team (http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=29)

A forum search for this issue shows posts back to 2004, but I (for the first time I might add) recently came across this problem, by accident. They are exactly the same time slots (accidentally chose it twice during selecting recordings), so I don't think it is the issue sub describes about it being the first episode with subsequent episodes having moved.

The problem is that I can't delete either of them from WITHIN EWA. I CAN delete them from within Xrecord. And unlike the others season recordings, there is no day shown for the next one to record, although the guide shows it should be today.

My only plugins (followign a complete reinstall last night) are MVPTrayIcon the XRecord Suite for 97.07, and EWA build 37.

Any ideas, what can I do to provide info?

I belive you need to delete the gbweb.dll file from the bin directory.

I hope i'm asking this in the right place. I was wondering if the developer of the enhanced web admin was ever planning on setting up a way to do "manual" recordings from the web admin?

ps. if this has allready been implemented, just call me an idiot and please explain how to find it.
