Through the information of my cable tv provider (http://www.upc.nl/frequencies_gm.php?GM=0599) I tried to setup the channels in GB-PVR. Some have a minus of plus sign. I did not manage to setup these specific channels. Please help on setting up these channels. Thank you.

Some other dutch users have had this problem in the past, due to non standard frequencies being used by broadcasters. Search the forums. From memory "freqcopy" might be a good keyword.

I'm using a Hauppauge PVR USB2 device.
Sub, are you planning to implement a channel setup through frequencies, like WinTV?

Thanks...

Marnix,

As a fellow Dutch user I would like to offer a solution. I created two simple programs that take a text file as input. The text file contains a line for every preset containing: preset number, frequency in Hz, channel ID, and channel name. Based on this text file, one program outputs a .reg file, and the other an XMLTV file with only channel data.

The .reg file will associate preset numbers with frequencies, the XMLTV file can be used to set up the channels in GB-PVR. Unless sub has changed this (I have not tried the latest version yet), importing the XMLTV file will set up all channels in GB-PVR starting at channel 2; you manually have to change 2 to 1, 3 to 2, ...

Let me know if you want to give this a spin.

Regards,

Jan

Jan,

Thank you for your reply. Yes I definitely would like to try this. Can you please make your programs available somewhere?

@janviet

can i also get a copy of that program you made.
because i live in Utrecht and with tuning assistent i miss two channels that i now need to put in by hand but i cant realy find out where.
maybe if you like it you can ask if they put it on the website for you so everyone who needed it don't have to ask you for it (or maybe that is just what you want to control the output of the program).

Jan,

I have the same problem, and like to receive the files as well.
