Hi,

I'm having an intermittent problem displaying tracks. I get the album name, artist name but the actual tracks aren't appearing. I've been doing a lot organizing of my collection so have been clearing the paths and re-adding them, then scanning.

Its strange because I've checked in the database and the tracks themselves are listed after each scan - its simply that they're not listed in the panel when it comes to using Music Library2.

I'm using the latest version of gb-pvr and latest music library2.

Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Regards,

I'm using BlueMCE2, but this configuration has listed the tracks before, and since. I just can't work out why this occurs occassionally after a scan. They're not displaying now and after trying several re-scans, nukes and removing paths I still can't get them back, though they're in the database. Sad

They are MP3 or WMA?? I only just added support for WMA, and have noticed myself that it's a bit "unstable". But that's because it doesn't read the tags properly and so it shows the filename.

When you leave it looking at (All) Artists, (All) albums do tracks turn up?

And please post your gbpvr.exe.log and I'll have a look and see if if says anything useful.

Hi,

These are mp3 files I can't get to appear. No tracks at all are listed. Yep - I'm using All artists all albums.

I've attached my log file, zipped.

Thanks for giving this your attention.

I can see the message causing the problem:

Code:
28/05/2006 20:22:11.181    ERROR    [11]    MusicLibrary2: DB Error retrieving titles : Specified cast is not valid.

Are you running AccessDB or Sql-Lite?

But I don't know why. Is your Musiclibrary.mdb (or db3) large?? If not could you zip it and send it to my email (listed as part of my profile). And I'll take a look.

The file itself is 1.13 MB. I'd be surprised if it was the size since it did actually show the tracks at one point, after several scan attempts. When I recently nuked the library after re-organising the music files the missing-tracks problem re-appeared after re-scanning.

I think I'm running SQL-Lite since I came back to GB-PVR after a long break and re-installed the latest of everything, including Music Library2, and downloaded the latest database as instructed in the wiki.

Thanks a bunch for investigating. I've probably missed something basic. I'm emailing you the database.

After installing i get an error that goes something like

pluggins cannot be null....

Sorry i dont have the exact text, i'll have to reinstall ur plugin to recreate if you cannot tell from this cryptic description of the problem...

I installed via the zip files, extracting to the gbpvr directory, on a bone stock clean installation of gvpvr.

The config app will not lauch without error, and all the menus and pluggin lists are gone in config.

The gbpvr will start, but acts really screwy...

Can u offer any suggestions?

Thanks
Vince
