Are baseskin and ThemeManage Compatable with v97.7?

Just a quick question re the title as I appear to be having problems; task images dont appear to be displaying correctly in numerous themes:

BlueMCE
StarTrek
Plus more

The images for TV guide and live TV always appear s default.

Am I doing something wrong? Must confess that this is the first time ive attempted using baseskin with themes.

Any assistance appreaciated

More than possible thats its something I did wrong!

Any chance some one could run through the process please?

The method I followed was:

-Install fresh copy of GBPVR

-Install the 2 little library things

-Install Baseskin

-Install ThemeManager

-Install .exe themes

-Change to baseskin in GBPVR

-Try and change skins using ThemeManager

Out of interest i initially had a problem getting the font displayed for the startrek theme, however, on load and "ok'ing" of the config app dialog this suddenly started working.

Ive no idea whats causing my task images to mess up, any ideas?

If you want to edit the DistributeTaskImages.bat file found in the AllTaskImages directory under BaseSkin to try to find out some things.

if you edit the file, make this the second line:

attrib -r ..\*.png /S /D

This will make sure all images are not read-only.

If that doesn't work, I am not sure why some are changing and others are not.

Hmm that helped to an extent... then i tried changing themes on the MVP ... big mistake lol, random task images again.

However, id like to say that this is a great system and i look forward to seeing it perfected.

Ok, so I tried something to see if I can sort things out some more.

I remarked out the @echo off ( REM @Echo Off) so I can see what is going on.

Then I added this line at the end:

This is from my "Dev" computer and is almost a comprehensive list of all the plugins. I am missing a few right now, but it shows something going on with some plugins and not others. I believe this is a known event that Old Dog had addressed in a thread about unlocking task images.

(Note: Chameleon is a BaseSkin variant)

Interesting findings.

I'm not using any plug-ins at the moment (except ThemeManager) and am having similar problems.

Happy to provide assistance on the MVP testing front.

It is showing no problems copying Live TV, Tv Guide, ect. It looks like recordings would be the only one having a problem. Maybe the timing of the batch file running in relation to GB-PVR exiting and restarting is what is causing the issues?

I am not really a programmer so my knowledge in this area is about to hit a brick wall.

GBPVR must be terminated before running the CopyTheme.bat file otherwise GBPVR will "lock" the task images and the new can not overwrite the current ones. ThemesManages should do this before running the Bat file...

I dont know why this happens to you. Have updated to the latest ThemeManager ?
I have no problems at all with ThemesManager
