Nothing has changed as far as setup since upgrade to new version the day it came out. As of yesterday , when watching live tv through coaxial cable frame rate is @ 1/2 what it should be , and when trying to watch a premium channel through the stb and the av in , the frame rate is at best 1 FPS , looks more like a slide show.
Recordings made since the problem was noticed appear to be fine. I am using overlay for tv out as it seems to work best and have been since day one. Any idea's ?? Thanks.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

I now notice the 1 fps frame rate also occurs in coaxial cable channels as well and I notice the problem only occurs AFTER I change channels. If I back out to the menu ,choose livetv , change the channel , it plays fine. If I change channels while in Live tv , then the problem happens. Here is the log.
Thanks

Its almost certainly related to the ffdshow audio decoder. The audio decoder is used as clock for synchronising the display of frames. There have been other users in the past with similar symptoms which were resolved by removing the ffdshow audio decoder.

Is there an easy way just to remove the audio decoder? I installed a codec pack which included ffdshow months ago to get divx and mpeg 4 files to play properly.

It varies from decoder to decoder. I'm not sure with ffdshow audio.

Would just choosing a different audio decoder in the playback section of config.exe be good enough or does it need to be removed completely off the system?

If you're lucky yes. ffdshow can be pretty aggressive. Just check in the gbpvr.exe-native.log to see if its being used.

Do you use FFdSHow at all?

If not, then you could unregister the audio codec. You can use a tool such as Radlight filter manager (google it) to make it either a very low priority filter, or non-existent.

That should take of the problem - but try just setting to another codec first.

I don't use it , it just installs with the codec pack I installed. I have selected a different decoder , the problem is much better, but not as good as it was. I'll try tomorrow to remove ffdshow.

Thanks
