I recently installed a new hard drive in my PC that I am using for my PVR. A fresh install of WinXP Pro, GBPVR 0.97.7, etc etc. I have a Hauppauge PVR250, and use a Media MVP for my TV box. At first I couldnt even watch TV on my PC but following some tips here I have been able to rectify that issue, although its still choppy on LiveTV and Video Playback. I went from VMR9 Custom to just VMR9. I am still trying to work on getting the playback back to 96.12, but thats not my issue.

My issue now is that I cannot get my MVP and GBPVR to communicate. The MVP starts up fine, GBPVR functions on my PC fine. It seems to find the server OK, but then it goes to Loading Application screen and hangs.. Any ideas?

Did you apply the MVP related patch from the sticky v0.97.7 survival guide?

Some people have had network interface problems with their MVPs, which results in jerky stuttering video. Read here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...mvp+duplex

OK I'll read through it. However I have to say that I had my setup running perfectly on the same PC, the only change was an upgrade from a 40G hard drive to a 200G HD. I'll read on and see if I can use any of that info.
