sub,

i'm still getting a stutter the first few seconds of live tv. during this time, the sound is playing normally, but the video is lagging behind. then suddenly the video sprints ahead to catch the sound. when it does this, i can see the osd flash up. it used to be that after that everything as okay, but now the video lags slighty behind the sound.

i've deleted everything from the plugins folder, just using the standard gbpvr install. using the sql database also. version 97.7. i've also been getting a connection refused after gbpvr finishes recording, but i followed some other posts advise (making sure the postprocessing.bat file is not empty (its not there), and a firewall(which i'm not using)). but that seems to have been corrected for the time being.

i have reproduced the error and attached the logs. all i did was basically goto live tv and let it stutter.

any insight on this?

THANKS

For some reason your machine seems to be trying to use two audio decoders at the same time, which may account for the problem. Maybe try configuring it to use a different audio decoder:

Quote:20:21:46.500 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
20:21:46.500 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - MPEG Audio Decoder
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - Encoder
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - Capture
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Crossbar
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - TV Audio
20:21:46.515 VERBOSE - TV Tuner

I've noticed a similar problem with the MPEG Audio Decoder {4A2286E0-7BEF-11CE-9BD9-0000E202599C} always getting dragged into the playback chain even when you have set something else as the prefered audio decoder. Take a look at lastgraph with graphedit on your machine and see what it contains. For me this was causing audio sync issues with DVR-MS files.

The MPEG Audio Decoder has a extremely high merit set by default 03680001. I changed this to 00200000 and it solved the problem for me. You could use radlight or zoomplayer to do this.

What happens if you turn off live preview mode, and watch in timeshift?

last night i upgraded to 97.9 maintance release. this for some reason has taken care of the live tv stuutering. just to anwser capone question, if i turned live tv off, it worked fine, but channel suring was horrible.

now, since upgrading i'm having a peridioc problem. after every night of being on, i get connection refused errors the next morning until i reboot. looking at the logs, it appears that there may be a problem with the transcoding part of things, but i'm not sure. if sub or someone else would look and let me know whats wrong

thanks
