Not to sound stupid or anything, I just installed the plugin files per the install.txt file and restarted the config utility, nothing shows up for wdm encoder. How can I tell if the program sees the plugin even?

Dear normanr,
I'm trying to configure your plugin because I 'd like to schedule recordings from an external digital decoder that is connected with a composite cable to the video in input of my avivo vga. I configured your plugin and after that I can watch and hear from the video in input (using preview tv in your plugin) but I'm not able to rec. When I try to rec using the "record tv" button of your plugin I don't get any file. I've installed the avivo encoder like you suggest in your first post. It's a long time I try to work on this but I cannot get ride of this problem. Would you be so nice to have a look to my logs? Thanx a lot Alessandro

sub Wrote:See the post about this in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16787 Sorry 4 OT, but i tried out the external Software Recorder today with a fresh install of GB-PVR and the Software Recorder Plugin and the Ubustream Plugin, all the latest versions from the wiki. While Ubustream itself makes no trouble, it's not possible to get the Software Recorder Plugin staying in the config. I can add a capture source with this one, and exit. If i reopen the config to map Channels to the external Recorder Plugin, it's disappeared from the Capture Sources Screen. Even with your latest Patch for this. I looked then into the GBPVR.DB3 and could find many entries to this source. I tried it ~7 times, and i could find it 7 times within the database. But why it doesn't appear within the capturesource field?

I got my live TV to working fine, timeshifting doesn't work (I'm not that worried about it really) but my recordings fail. Logs attached. Thank you normanr!!! You rock!

BTW.... I have tried restarting the pc, and stopping and restarting the gbpvr recording service. And the status of the recorder when I right click on the GB-PVR icon is always "sleeping". I am guessing that it is normal unless it is recording, correct?

I've looked through most of this thread, and looked at everything I possibly can on the config utility, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to add the WDM capture plugin to the program. I've copied the files into the plugin folder, and the files that had to go in the gbpvr folder, and nothing is different in the config utility.
I checked the plugin tab, and I don't see anywhere that I can add a plugin. Please help! Here is all I see in my recording sources tab:
