This is my first post at these forums, so I'd like to say hello to everyone, and thanks to the developer of GBPVR.

Here's my set-up/predicament...

Bell ExpressVu 3100 Reciever
GBPVR (latest version)
PVR-150

I have the card installed and hooked up via the red/white/yellow plugs to my PVR-150. Everything works well on Hauppage's WinTV2000, and I can watch LiveTV and record shows with no issues.

With GBPVR, I have the config setup for "Constant channel 3", (my satellite reciever is set to channel 3 as well), "Fixed Channel, external tuner".

I think my problem maybe with the setting "Fixed Channel, external tuner". When I click "LiveTV" in the menu, I get a fuzz, or static, but the guide/channel info is visable and I am able to change the channels, however I am pretty sure that I want it on channel 3, and change the channels on my satellite reciever.

I don't intend to buy another remote or IR blaster, I'm perfectly content with setting a timer on my satellite and setting the same recording in GBPVR. I just gotta figure out how to get the picture first...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Note:
The 3100 outputs corresponding to the:
red - Audio Right channel
white - Audio Left channel
yellow -composite video (not RF channel 3)

If you want to hook up to the 3100 Channel 3 you need to feed an RF cable with F-type connectors (screw on coax connector) to the PVR150 RF input

However for the best picture quality try the 3rd option using S-video cable from the 3100 unit into the S-video on the PVr150 card.
This is how I have my 3100 & PVR150 setup.

You can run both the coax outputs AND the red/white/yellow at the same time. I used to run the red/white/yewllow to the TV in the living room and the coax to the TV in the living room.

What do I need to select in the config to run the red/white/yellow?

In the config utility
under CAPTURE SOURCES
select EDIT for your source
under RECORDING SOURCE settings select
under SOURCE and select COMPOSITE, External Turner

Have a look at the picture and see if it helps.

Perfect! Works.

Just gotta figure out now why it's so choppy...

Glad to hear that. As for the choppyness, stutter etc, search the forum for that or similar words. Most likley a codec issue.

I'm away for a week to BC on business so won't be checkin for for a while. Good luck and I'm sure someone else on the forum will be able to lend a hand if needed.

Yah, I just hadn't selected the appropriate codec. Things are going smooth now!
