I have searched and searched for this problem. . .but to no avail! Everything seems to go okay until I am in the actual GBPVR Theater Listing screen. . .it keeps telling me "You have no shows to"

I have done everything. I have renamed the .bat file, I have edited the .bat file with my zip, I have typed in the getmovieslistings.exe with my zip in command prompt. I have tried everything!

Can someone help me?

My zip is 32607.

Thank you in advance!

Wasn't there a file you needed to place in the gbpvr\ root folder to make this work? I've got it working on my machine and vaguely recall something like this being necessary...

getlistings.bat and GetTheaterListings.exe need to be in the devnz\gbpvr directory. Look for a batch file called 1getlistings.bat if you can't find it - rename it and edit the file with your zip code.
Code:
GetTheaterListings 12345
You can then call it from the PostUpdateEPG.bat to check for updated listings every day.

I have already done these things. It still shows "you have no shows to" in my gbpvr.

I'm getting the same thing.

It looks as though everything is installed correctly. I simply unzipped the contents into the gbpvr folder. I renamed the getlistings batch file (took the 1 off the beginning), and edited it with my zip code. I've run the batch file and executable from the command line and verified that information is being retrieved from Fandango. The thing that gets me is the xml file in the theater folder is almost completely blank after I try and update theater listings. I would assume the xml file would contain all of the info retrieved from Fandango if everything is working correctly. All mine has in it is a couple of lines that read /database or something like that.

I ran into the same thing, it's my first installation, so I thought it was just me. I've edited the batch file with my zipcode, and manually run it, appears to connect and retrieve info, but the Theater listing screen still says no shows...
I'll have to look at the log later, but if there's no official 'Error' I'm not sure what I'll be looking for.

This little plug-in would really add to the WAF (wife approval factor)

You might try a different zip code, that is known to be working. This will not fix the problem, but it will tell you if there's a problem with your machine or Fandango. Mine seems to work. Change the ZIP code to 90620 and see if it retrieves any listings.

Just a suggestion,
Daris

Mine too keep telling "You have no shows to" but it only happen when I upgraded to gbpvr 97.7 or 97.9. I'd got complete listings before on gbpvr ver96.12.
