I posted this in the other thread as well.

For those less technical you can copy the text below into a notepad file. Name the file something like timeline.reg and execute it.

I realize this is a pretty basic question, but what is the process for updating the drivers? Do I need to uninstall the old drivers before installing then new ones? I am currently using the 23258 drivers that came with my PVR-150. What is the most current stable drivers? I have the incorrect timecode problem on maybe 20% of my recordings, so I would like to update the driver and do the registry fix in order to correct this problem. Thanks

Any kind of encode process will "save" them as it will recreate the timestamps, but if you read this thread thoroughly, I think there is an explanation above somewhere.

I guess a search for PVASRUMENTO or RETIME should do the trick.

Anyone else still getting occasional timestamp problems? I upgraded to the 24108 driver and did the registry fix by creating and executing a timeline.reg file as outlined by ddrawley. Can anyone help out here. I also get funny fast forward and rewind sometimes. When I try to rewind, it fast forwards.

Those are all indicative of a corrput timeline in the file. Did you run the hclear utility that is available from Hauppage and then install the 24108 drivers?

I have not had any issues since I moved to these drivers and based on the lack of posts over at shpvr I am guessing that this issue has been resolved with the drivers.....

Any other ideas. I went back in and re-updated drivers after using the hwclear utility. I did the update using directions in this recommended link.
http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9814.0

I then did registry fix and confirmed that the registry was edited. Despite this, I continue to have timestamp problemss. For example, a 30 minute recording will show up as something like 1:30 instead of 30:00. This screws up comskip, as well fast forward and rewind.

Any other ideas of things to try?

Thanks all.

Edit: I just reread the update instructions in the link referenced above. It says to "Uninstall everything from Add/Remove Progams with the words Hauppauge and InterVideo FilterSDK" before running hcwclear.exe. I did not remove the Intervideo FilterSDKk, but I suppose I could try that as well it that might be the problem?

Did you reboot after installing the drivers? The registry settings are only checked at bootup.

These drivers and registry settings have fixed the problem for every other user to date. I'm not aware of any other way to fix the problem.

Could I have a confimation?

Using the: 24108 driver , do you still need the reg entries outlined for 24054?

Thanks
