Computer wakes up to record pending recordings, but it does not wake up to EPG update. Any thoughts as to why?

Can you post the recording service logs and I'll see if I can see anything obvious.

More people have reported this over the past few weeks...

Sorry, I dont know. I cant see anything in the logs.
It calls the same function for the EPG wakeup as it does for the recording wakeup, so I cant see any reason it wouldnt work. I've added some additional logs messages for the next release that shows what times the wake ups are scheduled for. This will hopefully help track it down.

My PC (running 97.9) wakes up to record without a single problem, but it doesn't want to wake to do the EPG update.
In the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log I periodically see the 'next update' date/time being set, like such... "19/06/2006 09:18:55.281 VERBOSE [12] Scheduling next EPG wake up for: 20/06/2006 07:00:00" But this time comes and goes without waking and updating. Is there a way of querying what wake up events have been set? Sub once mentioned that the same code that sets a WUE for recording also sets the EPG update WUE. Could it be possible that this is not happening?

If that message is in the logs, then it's called the exact same function that is used to wake up for recordings.
Are you positive the machine didnt wake up? In the past several users have thought it didnt wake up, only to find it did wake up, but didnt do the EPG update for one reason or another.

I'll set the wake up time to a more godly hour, stick it in standby wait til' the time comes.
I'll report back my findings.

I haven't checked with a recent version but my machine has always had an issue with waking for the epg update. It does wake up when scheduled but it goes back to sleep within 2 minutes, even though the power setting is to sleep after 10 minutes. I have sat there and watched it do this more than once. It always looked like the wake event happened but because the epg update didn't start immediately the computer went back to sleep. Like others mine records fine, just this epg wake problem. I got around it by using task scheduler to schedule a wake event at the same time to update the time, with a 10 minute delay. Now as long as the random part of the epg update time doesn't stop it gbpvr will go ahead and update the epg since it is awake anyway.
The times I have watched it wake and go back to sleep I have checked the logs and there are no entries for the time set (2pm EST) so gbpvr didn't do anything or write anything. Sub: maybe you could have the recording service write a woke up at xx:xx in its log so we at least can see when it wakes and that it is alive and responding.
