Dumb question (maybe)...

If I rework my SuDoku plugin with VS .NET 2005 and .NET v2.0 will it still work on the older GB-PVR versions pre-0.97.x (assuming people alse have the .NET v2.0 framework of course)?

Some people are still using older GB-PVR versions so I don't want to break things.

Cheers,
Brian

Brian,

You can also use a newly released tool from MS to command line compile VS2005 projects to use the .Net 1.1 framework. The tool is called MSBee:

I used it when I fixed some bugs in the Theater Listing plugin and built a .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0 version from the same project.

Brian,

Thanks - I'll take a look. It might be useful in the future although I was hoping not to have to provide two versions.

Cheers,
Brian

PS - Excellent name Big Grin

Defintely an excellent name hehe. There should be no issues with running side by side installs of the framework, but without full testing of the program in question, just no way to tell. I have both 1.1 and 2.0 on this computer running 97.9 with the theater plugin still compiled under 1.1 while gbpvr uses 2.0.
