Now that I am using gbpvr to replace the dvr from the cable company, I am noticing one mechanic that needs to be implemented that both tivo and the cable's generic box have.
That is notification that the gbpvr is going to start recording something if you are actively watching live television. Currently, the pvr just hangs the live tv and you are not sure what has happened. This is very noticibile with only one capture card running. What would work much nicer, would be a popup window in livetv mode about a min or two before the recording is scheduled. It could inform the user what is about to be recorded, and give them the option to cancel this recording if they want to continue watching what is on tv. If no response is received, it could then drop the user out to the main menu.
This might have been asked for before, but I think such a feature would really add to this system.
Thanks,
Jonathan
