ZProcess - Old Support Thread...

ZProcess has been released!

I have finished the pre-pre-release of ZProcess. Hopefully, some of you can benefit. It's on the wiki. My download files are in my personal webspace, and the links are on the wiki too...

As this will mostly benefit MVP users for the moment, I'm calling out to Strong, Hearty 'Beta-Testing for Breakfast' MVPers to help me...

If you are going to try it. Please read most of the wiki page. Most importantly is the file naming. (ZProcess = ffmpeg.exe, FFmpeg = fmpeg.exe)

Please PM me and tell me you're trying it. And let me know if you are PAL or NTSC, and what Revision of MVP you are using.

And lastly, if you have success, tell me the Transcoding details you ended up going with, (PAL, 640x894, etc...) and the speed of your computer, RAM...

ZProcess Note!!
NOTE! July 8, 2006

If you have already tried this out, I have made a major change to how the program saves to the registry. Previous to July 8, settings were saved in the Local_Machine hive. Now it’s using the Current_User hive.

Before updating the ZProcess Program file, make note of any settings you saved previously.

* (If you lost those settings anyway, you might be able to look them up with regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ZERITECH\ZProcess )

Got it loaded up.....seems to be working fine......ran about 4 or 5 various avi's through and they all transcoded to a great aspect with letter box on my 4:3 TV....nice!

Great... What model of MVP do you have, and what system NTSC, PAL?

I'm trying to run Zprocess, a couple of problems:

It won't let me choose trans2mpv, when it does the hourglass keeps running and then it goes back to 2mpg.
I can choose 2avi , do my settings but it overwrites the original file (?)
In the directories tab I get a "runtime error 76, directories not found"
I've also noticed that when your GB-PVR is not in the default install dir. Zprocess won't register (even when changing the path in the ZProcess-Install.bat) and Zprocess won't run.

and yes, I'm on .net 2.0, installed the VB6 and read the wiki.
Could it be because I'm on w2k3 OS ?

No, it wasn't w2k3, it was me...:o


Remember in my page, "Hourly updates" well, yes, I saw that problem, and fixed it. Download the program file only, and try again.

Oh and there's one more addition. In the Zprocess.zip, there's a RemoveZProcess.reg, that will wipe out the ZProcess Registry settings and let you start again..

Hmmmm, runtime error 75, Path/File access error ?

ZProcess opens after error , hourglass won't go away......
and what to do with the 4 batch files included in the latest release ?

The strangest thing though, it runs fine on a XP machine.......
