I scoured the internet and found two cards (based on a review) which provide better antialiasing than the hauppauge cards. I wonder if gbpvr will support the EVGA NVTV mpeg-2 encoder card and ATI's TV Wonder Elite. The EVGA NVTV uses a LSI DVxplore chipset, which I believe is the same chipset as my "former" rebadged Lite-ON 5020 unit implemented. According to the review and the comparison of pq, the nvtv far surpassed the elite and 150 mce in antialiasing processing. If the review is correct I should buy the NVTV if hopefully GBPVR will support it. Cool

The ATI TV Wonder Elite - yes.

The other card might work, but you'll need to add a section to direct.ini for it. The Emuzed Maui cards also based on the LSI DVxplorer chipset also work.

Alrighty then!!!

I used the imformation from this thread

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...light=nvtv

and it seems that my evga nvtv tuner is producing video data with GBPVR. Big Grin

Unfortunately I'm using a friends pc which means I lack a video feed available to confirm the video characteristics.

I'm not sure the producing data part is a good, surefire thing or not. Hopefully when I arrive home, I will have this card working with GBPVR. Cool

My friend's pc is new (only owner other than Dell computer Inc). Media Center Edition OS, fast processor, the friggin' works. In conclusion, my computer is discombobulated and screwed up.

Does the Nvidea card works fine on Windows Pro (not MCE)? I think I read somewhere that some good options are not available if you are not using Windows MCE.

I saw there will be a new ATI Theater™ 650 PRO tuner card.
It has both digital & analog tuners & the analog side has hardware encoding.
I don't believe there has ever been a tuner card like that before.

But I can't tell you when it's going to be released.

I believe the EVGA NVTV card only works with MCE. Today, when I tried GBPVR, data was produced but it wasn't recognizeable by any programs. I deduce that this card only creates DVR-MS files, ensuring that any other app would not be able to use it other than Microsoft Media Center Edition. It was a mistake to buy this piece of crap of a tv card, even if it was $30 with shipping. I guess it was cheap for that reason (only can be used with MCE).

Does GBPVR supports the EMUZED MAUI III or the EMUZED MAUI III-G (I'm confused)? I guess that card should be better than the NVTV garbage.
