Hi Guys,

I have an Avermedia Hybrid A16A DVB-T card. It has BDA drivers installed, I've used ScanChannelsBDA to find the tuner name and made the relevant entry in BDA.ini. gbpvr seems to like it and recognises that it's installed. However, when I go to map channels and it starts scanning, I get an unhandled exception error. The full error is listed at the end of this message.

I've tried using <BDAScanType>2</BDAScanType> in config.xml but the problem persists.

Any suggestions? - thanks in adavnce!

bb

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

An error message in your logs makes me thing the definition in bda.ini for the AVerMedia A161A device is not correct, or the device is already in use by some other software on your machine.

Quote:21:12:41.593 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'MPEG2 Transport' to 'MPEG-2 Stream'

Thanks for the info. I'll double check the settings and make sure that none of the aver software is running in the background.

I'll post back any findings

Ok Guys,

Managed to get it all working. The custom entry I made in the BDA.ini file was the culprit.

So for anyone trying to get an Avermedia Hybrid A16A card working with this software, this is the entry that needs to be made in BDA.ini

[AVerMedia A161A]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=AVerMedia BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=AVerMedia BDA DVBT Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Thanks to Sub and HG for all their help Wink

Glad to hear you got it working.

I'll include those setting in the next release.
