Playing video on MVP gives Hauppauge overlay image

Has anybody seen this before, since I'm new to all this: When I watch a video in AVI format on the MVP there is a Hauppauge labeled overlay visible on the TV. It's positioned just below the center of the screen. It also shows a yellow line indicating some sort of progress.

Besides the fact that playback stops on most files after about 5-10 seconds, for which I have read some the threads here, nobody seems to have noticed this before.

As for my setup: I have a MediaMVP H3, using the dongle version 3.2.24125b, no Hauppauge MVPService installed. It doesn't matter whether I use FFmpeg or ZProcess, they both give the same result, always that Hauppauge overlay and yellow progress bar.

Anybody any ideas on this?

I havnt tried it myself, but from what I've read it sounds like this new dongle includes a hardcoded hauppauge OSD.

Yea, I tried the latest dongle and it was a disaster. I got a wide yellow band across the lower part of the screen. Looks like our dongle development stops before this version! I then tried 24110b and it looks good on my D3 MVP. 24088 was good, too.

I have talked to Hauppauge about this today, and we are trying to agree a mechanism for disabling this Hauppauge OSD.
