Is there a way to boost the volume (db gain or other means) ?

Windows volume is at max. Winamp is at max = Plays loud.
Windows volume is at max. GBPVR is at max = Cant hear much.

Thanks

If you hold down the right arrow key while watching a video, does it get any louder? By default GB-PVR just the default sound levels for everything, unless you've explicitly changed the volume. Pressing the right arrow will turn the internal volume back up if you had previously turned it down.

Well I can use both the left/right arrow and the vol+/vol- buttons on my remote. Does not get loud enough compared to other programs (winamp, wmp, powerdvd etc).
It's GBPVR that's not loud enough.

If you playback the exact same file in both WMP and GB-PVR, is the volume lower? or is it more an issue of things are being recorded with the volume too low (compared to other videos you have)?

I'm playing mp3s in winamp or movies in wmp with wmp or winamp volume at max, and it comes out nice and loud.

Live TV and music playback in gbpvr is lower then wmp and winamp.
Recordings are also much lower then LIVE TV (in both gbpvr or directly through wmp).

Sorry, I dont know then. If you pressed the right arrow to turn the volume up, then its as loud as GB-PVR can go.

If you've got any utilities like ffdshow audio or other audio processing directshow filters installed, they may might be adjusting or equalizing the audio.

Just tried my audio levels by playing the same mp3 through wmp then gbpvr. FWIW, wmp is definitely louder - plus about 10-15% at a guess. Not really a problem, though.

Tried it again but with a video. The volume levels were about the same.
