Can't delete attachments from locked threads?

Just doing a bit of an attachment cleanup and noticed in the forum attachment CP that it is not possible to delete attachments from locked threads. Threads are GBPVR announcement threads.

Guess some wasted server space there, but if provider is happy, no big drama.

Its configured to not allow users to edit posts in closed threads.
