This worrys me. You dont want a different banner for every plugin as if you want to change a design / colour you have to do it for all the banners. Also if a new plugin is released all the old skin/themes require updating!

I use diretories starting with All...something so they will be in the top of directory structure.
The same reason as you named yours _....something

TitleLogos in the ThemePacks are used for a "top bar" with a graphical design element. In Mayhem3 the TitleLogo is an image with a submenu specific image.
It is only n BlueMCE2 it is text in the TitleLogo image. So I think we can see this as a port of the original design.
ContourHC has a graphical "top bar" similar to the "TitleLogo" element.

It is only Dottores Sassari that do not use "top bars"

So the TitleLogo graphic element have a wider use in skin designs than you think.

I don't have an issue with them. With any images, they are optional. They can be used or left out. Having a provision for them when designing a layout is not a bad idea.

No text in graphics if at all possible. (Sometimes cannot be avoided, like "DVD")

One banner can be a common "catchall".

Banner.png (Edit: This would be a blank graphic in the default image template)

Then, if a skinner wants to add plugin custom banners, they have the responsibility to do so (Banner_Calendar.png).

I doubt plugin designers would spend time creating a custom banner image.

I suggested groups....wich most plugins can relate to. eg
Default = Empty....no specific text ot image.

Your Calendar could use default or just leave the Title element out....it is optional. Think of Mayhem3 or BlueMCE2 as the most extreme TitleLogos.

This is just an element that is defined as a part of a graphical theme design.....that the plugin developers can leave out or include....but not design....in my eyes

MixMan, do you have anything done in your "cleanup" or is it all in the theoretical stage right now? I assumed I needed to download the latest baseskin based version, but I don't know if you fixed anything from that version on the wiki.

I have most ScreenName Text in SubMenus set to size 600x120 to fit long ttiles like the UBU stream.....but perhaps it shoud be 720x80 so we dont run into limits with large fonts ot large text sizes.

What I have done is in the BlueMCE2-X skin. But I haven't posted it yet.
Would you like me to....even though it is far from prefect.?
