I just got the MCE keyboard and it worked fine once I downloaded and installed the "Update Rollup 2 for eHome Infrared Receiver for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (KB912024)" from microsoft. This, of course, assumes you have the MCE remote + receiver. Without the rollup only the remote type buttons work. I use girder for whatever buttons don't work directly with GBPVR.

I'm also using the MCE keyboard, works brilliantly one you get the update mentioned above.

Is there a way to make this the MCE Keyboard work on XP Pro? I got the mouse, IR stuff and the keyb, but I dont want to install MCE really. anyone sorted out some drivers for it? I heard someone created some freeware drivers for the mouse IR. Search for HIP on an Aussie site..

see my post above - I am using XP pro not MCE.
You must install "Update Rollup 2 for eHome Infrared Receiver for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (KB912024)" for it to wotk with XP Pro.

Hi I just installed the KB912024 in my XP pro and MCE boxes not the keyboard works just great withing windows. Before that I only had access to the media buttons on the KB none of the 'normal' key would work. However, prior to the update the remote worked (only with the up down left right and middle buttons) in GBPVR now they dont work at all, and neither does the KB. <sigh> evey step forward is followed by at least a half a step back. I enjoy muching around with PC's but its beginning to dawn on me that perhaps Im not very good at it =)
